Emigreen designs and delivers exhaust gas aftertreatment systems for marine diesel engines that reduce harmful emissions, including nitrogen oxides (NOx) and soot particles. Their system consists of a diesel particulate filter (DPF) and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) unit that can be installed in small spaces and maintained by the crew. Emigreen’s SCR NOx reduction converts NOx into nitrogen and water vapor through a chemical reaction using a catalyst (ammonia). They offer two types of DPF systems, one with passive regeneration and another with active regeneration, and an exhaust silencer that reduces engine noise. The combined system ensures compliance with increasingly stringent international maritime regulations.
